Spring Diversity Banquet

Date: Friday - May 12, 2017
Time: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Location: John R. Johnson Student Center and Jeslo Harris Theater

This year, the Community Engagement Team has been exploring the theme of Borders. Borders aren’t just where you’re from or where your family is from. Borders can exist within our own community and within ourselves.

The community within our borders is strong and growing, and we want to acknowledge the students, families, faculty, staff and alumni who make it so vibrant.

At the Spring Diversity Banquet, we will expand our borders to celebrate what makes our community special. To honor our collective community, we are celebrating and highlighting the Caribbean Diaspora.

Our celebration will begin at 6pm in the Jeslo Harris Theater, where community members will share performances and reflections and honor our graduating seniors. Then, at 6:45pm, we will move to the cafeteria for dinner, dancing and a photo booth!

Please bring a dish to share (we are featuring the Caribbean Diaspora and would love to have a dish which reflects this unique region) and please come dressed in festive attire. The cafeteria and terrace will be set up as if we are having a Caribbean Cook Out. *The terrace will be set up, weather permitting.
