Programs & Faculty

Riverdale is a school that encourages its students to use their unique strengths and follow their true passions. As we plan for the future, we aim to take Riverdale to the next level, to make us a true educational leader, and to further differentiate us from our peers – proving that cutting-edge teaching and learning can complement effectively a traditional liberal arts education.

To that end, we seek enhanced funding for professional development that will help to secure our ability to recruit, develop, and retain the best faculty, providing them with the resources they need to further their own growth and that of their students. In particular, expanded support for professional development will help promote opportunities for faculty and staff to develop innovative ways of teaching, inside and outside the classroom, in order to enhance learning for every Riverdale student.

Additionally, as we adapt our educational approach to a changing world, Riverdale aims to provide students with the tools necessary to meet challenges and encourage a more equitable society. Not only do we seek to take advantage of new opportunities for economic and social growth and change, but also to adapt to the ever-changing educational needs of today’s students. During the past several years, we have rededicated our efforts with an emphasis on service- and experiential-learning in both our immediate community and in the greater world. Funding for new and improved programmatic initiatives is critical to helping us achieve these goals.
