Community+

Riverdale's community is not defined by geography; it is defined by teachers and students working with others, wherever they may be.

Close to home, Riverdale faculty and students collaborate on a regular basis with Part of the Solution, an organization that provides assistance to families living in poverty;  the Hunts Point Alliance for Children, a coalition supporting education for children in the 10474 zip code; and PS/MS 279. The greater school community, including alumni and parents, take part in the annual Community Action Day. This year, volunteers will be working at the nearby Endor Community Gardens and Greyston Gardens.

Farther afield, Riverdale faculty and students travel to Alabama and New Orleans for service trips and overseas, as part of the school's global studies programs.
