Life at Riverdale's Upper School
There is more to a school than its academics, and at Riverdale, there are many opportunities for students to participate in life outside the classroom, from field trips to affinity programs to service learning.
The freedom of open space
Kelley Nicholson-Flynn, Head of Upper School, explains how Riverdale students take advantage of spending their days on a spacious campus.
Upper School Community
"Although it is cliché and often said, I'd say that the best thing about Riverdale is the community. I feel safe to be who I am here, but beyond that, my fellow students and teachers appreciate what it is that makes me different... There are no two people who are exactly alike here, and the community embraces that. The teachers are some of the most amazing people I've ever met. They make me excited to come to school every morning, and they have the ability to reach every student and make every student in his or her class passionate about what they're learning."
