In a 2-0 win over UNIS on Sunday, the boys varsity soccer team held onto their NYSAIS championship for the second consecutive year.
The game capped a 15-3-1 season, including eight shut-outs.
Scoring for Riverdale in the final were Sam Barovick '16 and Julian Burden '19.
The final followed a close semifinal victory against Poly Prep on Friday. That game went for 80 minutes of regulation play, plus two 10-minute overtimes and two 5-minute golden goal overtimes until Riverdale's goal keeper, Jeremy Kasdin '18, stopped the fifth shot and then midfielder Justin Miller '16 scored the deciding penalty kick, giving Riverdale a 5-4 win.
