The Riverdale freshman boys cross country team took fourth place yesterday in the annual Mayor's Cup Cross Country Championships in Van Cortlandt Park that attracted teams from public, parochial and independent schools in the city.
Jackson Harris, a Riverdale freshman, came in fourth out of 97 runners.
The Riverdale varsity boys team, minus two of its top runners, took ninth place out of 70 teams. More than 500 athletes competed. Each Riverdale varsity runner turned in a personal-best performance.
