"The Garden Out Back," a photograph by Isabelle Hilder ’17, received a silver key award.

Two Riverdale students have been awarded national medals for creative writing in the 2017 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Estelle Anderson '22 was awarded a Gold Medal for her short story, "The Acacia Tree," and Natalia Mercedes Rodriguez '19 earned a Silver Medal for her poem, "ToDoList."

Scholastic's 2017 national medalists represent less than 1% of total submissions.
