Parents

Parents play a vital role in their children's education, working in partnerships with teachers, participating in school events, and joining in the Riverdale community. Throughout the year, Riverdale offers numerous opportunities for parents to connect with other parents, take part in parent education programs, learn more about the curriculum, meet with administrators and deans, and support the work of the school. Just as Riverdale seeks to develop minds, instill character, and build community involvement in our students, we hope our families will value these guiding principles in their own lives.

The Riverdale years are marked by tremendous growth and change, challenges, and successes. Parents share this journey and celebrate their children's increasing confidence and independence.

Riverdale has a highly active Parents Association, dedicated to enriching our school through its partnership with the administration, faculty, and parents in a variety of activities and events. In celebrating and supporting Riverdale, the Parents Association embraces the following core values:

  • Community
  • Commitment
  • Communication

In addition to Upper, Middle, and Lower School PA meetings, to which everyone in the community is invited, Riverdale's PA works hand-in-hand with the administration to present speakers, celebrations, annual events, and social/educational gatherings.
