1957 Alumni Speaker Series

Riverdale Country School is proud to announce the Class of 1957 Alumni Speaker Series, which aims to bring to campus four alumni per year to address students, faculty, and other community members. Established during the 2013-14 school year through the generosity of Riverdale's Class of 1957, and spearheaded by Tim Zagat '57, the Speaker Series has attracted several alumni to campus including former Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell '61, writer/producer Carly Mensch '01, former NFL player and Super Bowl winner Calvin Hill '65, and multimedia artist Clifford Ross '70. March 15, 2016: Peter Ellis '67
Peter Ellis '57, a lawyer who represented several Guantanamo detainees and challenged the Obama administration’s definition for enemy combatants, engaged Upper School students during an assembly on March 15, 2016.

May 24, 2016: Clifford Ross '70
Multimedia artist and inventor Clifford Ross '70 spoke to Upper School students about lifelong learning and his creative process.
