 | The teaching of ethics and values has always been an integral part of the Riverdale mission and philosophy. A Riverdale education is one that attends not only to the life of the mind, but also to the cultivation of a moral and ethical life.
Beginning with the C.A.R.E. (Children Aware of Riverdale Ethics) program (the foundation of all that occurs at the Lower School) and continuing with the Community Service requirements for all Middle and Upper School students, the importance of caring for and helping others is instilled in all Riverdalians. C.A.R.E. and the Middle and Upper School community service programs are integral and important parts of a student's education at Riverdale Country School.
But even beyond teaching, caring for others is embedded in how every student, teacher, and staff member acts, both on and off campus.
