Author Walter Isaacson to Speak with Students at Upper School Assembly

Former Riverdale parent and trustee Walter Isaacson will be joining Upper School students on February 10 to discuss American Sketches: Great Leaders, Creative Thinkers, and the Heroes of a Hurricane, his latest book that profiles individuals who have shaped the course of American history, including Ben Franklin, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Albert Einstein, and Bill Gates.
Isaacson is the President and CEO of The Aspen Institute, a nonpartisan educational and policy studies institute based in Washington, D.C. He has also been the Chairman and CEO of CNN and the editor of Time Magazine.
In addition to his latest book, he is also the author of Einstein: His Life and Universe, Benjamin Franklin: An American Life, and Kissinger: A Biography and coauthor of The Wise Men: Six Friends and the World They Made.
Copies of American Sketches will be available for purchase at cost ($20.00) following the Assembly. Riverdale looks forward to hearing from this intriguing author.
