Poet Rachel Eisler to Meet With Upper School Students

Riverdale is pleased to welcome Rachel Eisler, poet and friend of Upper School English teacher Sarah Banks, to Riverdale on Thursday, February 18. 

In addition to working with Ricky Lapidus's Creative Writing class and meeting with students and faculty members over lunch, Rachel will also give a reading from her recently published poetry collection, On Fire Island With Walt and Frank.

Rachel earned a B.A. in English from Yale University and a M.A. in Creative Writing from Johns Hopkins University. She previously taught English in the Upper School at The Bryn Mawr School of Baltimore, serving as department chair for three years. Now a full-time mom, Eisler works independently in the Washington D.C. metro area.
