An exhibit marking the 10th year of PICA (Projects in Contemporary Art) shows how students have used various mediums and spaces to reflect on current events and themes related to social change.
Taught by Nicky Enright, PICA is an advanced art class that explores how contemporary art can function within a school and engage others in art, beyond viewership.
Subjects have ranged from censorship to technology, social media, standardized testing, racism, gun violence, and climate change. This fall, students created circus-themed signs for the complex of classroom tents set up on the Hill Campus in response to COVID-19.
