After School

At the Lower School, many students remain on campus after school, participating in a variety of activities. The Riveredge After-School Enrichment Program, organized by our summer camp partner, ESF, offers classes such as comic-book design, rocketry, chess, boxing and martial arts, tennis, robotics, and cooking. We also offer co-curricular opportunities, such as the Service Learning Club and the Students of Color Society (SOCs), and Extended Day Childcare, which are available at no charge. After school late buses at the Lower School depart at approximately 4:50 p.m. each day, and all children must be picked up by 5:30 p.m.

Transportation

Supertrans Bus Company
provides bus service for our Lower School students from Manhattan and the Bronx. Our buses cover areas from Battery Park City to Inwood. Our Lower School students have door-to-door pickup.

Supertrans provides bus service to the Middle and Upper School campus from Manhattan, the Bronx, New Jersey, Connecticut and some towns in Westchester.

They also run a shuttle bus to the school from the local subway for those students who choose to take the subway to school using their MetroCards, which are distributed free of charge to students.

Supertrans runs two afternoon departures, one right after school is dismissed, and another one that leaves the Hill Campus at 6:00 p.m.

Westchester Buses
Some students coming from Westchester are able to register with their local school district to use the town’s school bus provider. This includes Harrison, Larchmont, and Mamaroneck. To determine whether your town will provide buses, please contact your town hall.

After School
Supertrans allows students to take alternate routes in the afternoon. Parents of Lower School students must provide advanced notice if their children will be taking a different return route.
