Forbes 30 Under 30

Co-founders Georges Clement '08 and Daniel Kass were selected to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Iist in the Law & Policy category. They created along with 30-year-old Ashley Treni to help NYC tenants build legal cases to fight evictions and report housing code violations. 


Nathalia Tavares '19 performed at the UN as part of the International Day of the Girl.



One World Day

The Upper School devoted its One World Day on November 28 to mental health and wellness. More than 20 speakers and outside facilitators participated in discussions and activities related to emotional well-being. Stacey Mindich, producer of "Dear Evan Hansen," talked about the impetus for the award-winning Broadway show and the Vocal Arts Ensemble performed songs from the show. Learn more.


Successful Riverdale Community Action Day

The 9th Annual Riverdale Community Action Day was held on the RCS Hill Campus on Saturday, November 18. Approximately 700 alumni, students, parents, and faculty participated in recreational activities and drives that supports and strengthens existing relationships with several of our local partners.


Reunion Celebration during Homecoming 2017

The class years ending in 2 and 7 came back to campus on Saturday, October 14 to celebrate their respective Reunions. The day, which coincides with Homecoming, included: Faculty talks, class tours and photos, lunch under the tent, athletic games, and much more. In addition, during the Alumni Award presentations, the Class of '57 was given the Reunion Class Award for their unsurpassed dedication to Riverdale and their meaningful connection to one another; Edem Dzubey '07 was presented with The Ernest McAneny Spirit Award in recognition and appreciation of her consistent, broad, and substantial service to Riverdale; and Mark Hostetter, Ted Janulis, and Erica Lindenbaum Tishman, all from the Class of 1977, were presented with Alumni Achievement Awards for their accomplishments within their chosen fields or endeavors.

Riverdale Women in Book Publishing

The panel discussion, Riverdale Women in Book Publishing, was held on Saturday, October 14 with Karen Gantz '68, president of Karen Gantz Literary Management, moderating the panel. Panelists included: Susan Moldow '63, president of the Scribner Publishing Group; Lisa Birnbach '74, journalist, cultural commentator, and author; Michelle Haimoff '97, writer/author; and Karen Elizaga P'21, '25.
