Co-Curriculum programs at the Lower School encompass in-school activities with older and younger students, service-learning projects, after-school activities, student organizations, and assemblies and traditions designed to instill global awareness, a sense of community, and kindness and respect for others.
The school offers after-school clubs that are available at no charge such as the Service Learning Club and Students of Color Society (S.O.C.S). The Riveredge After-School Enrichment Program, which is organized by Riverdale's summer-camp partner, ESF, offers classes taught by Riverdale faculty and athletic coaches. Examples include comic-book design, rocketry, chess, boxing and martial arts, tennis, robotics, and cooking.
It's pretty amazing to build a rocket and watch it blast off.
