Homebase Program: Students gather in their home base classrooms upon arrival and before dismissal. During their time in homebase, children unpack their belongings and go over homework. Homebase also provides the opportunity for students to have one-on-one check-ins with their teachers and to reflect on their work and their day. At the end of the day, students have time in their homebase to pack up their school materials before leaving school.
Buddy Program: To build community and set up meaningful connections for students, each Early Learning homebase classroom is paired with an Upper Learning homebase classroom. Students are assigned a buddy. Buddy Time is scheduled once a month for students to interact. Buddy Time activities include recess, sharing books, art projects, science explorations, etc. Students have the opportunity to first be a younger buddy, and then to take on the role of a big buddy. The Lower School Buddy Program allows students to make a positive impact on the lives of our youngest students.
