The Co-Curriculum in the Riverdale's Middle School encourages students to take their learning and apply it in experiential ways on our athletic fields, on our stages, and in New York City.
We believe that the co-curriculum is a lab for learning and character development. The core academic curriculum is enhanced by co-curricular programs that have been designed to promote strong ethical decision making and an ability to think flexibly and creatively across traditional disciplines, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings.
In the Middle School, we encourage our students to try many different co-curricular activities. We believe exposure to a variety of activities and challenges will assist students as they move into high school and beyond and must make decisions about which interests, talents, and passions they explore in greater depth.
