At Riverdale, students have the opportunity to know one another in many different contexts. Of course, they discuss, disagree, and debate throughout the academic day in their courses, but they also develop meaningful relationships with one another outside of the classroom. There is a wide variety of organizations, both formal and informal, that allow students to come together around shared interests, projects, or activities. Although they do so in different ways, one thing our students share is a desire to get involved and take action.
Head of Upper School Kelley Nicholson-Flynn and several students discuss the ways in which Riverdale's club and activity program gives students a sense of agency.
