The energy on the two campuses shifts significantly at the end of the school year, but the use of our spaces for learning, growth, exploration, and fun continues. The Riverdale Hill Campus is home to one branch of ESF Summer Camps, in which many young Riverdale students participate. If you visit the Lisman Laboratories in mid-July, you will see rising juniors and seniors engaged in cutting edge science in our Summer Science Research Program. Riverdale also hosts our ever-expanding Project Knowmad, which combines the best of the Riverdale faculty and the incredible resources of New York City. Knowmad is open to rising 5th graders and all Middle and Upper School students from Riverdale as well as other schools. Riverdale students may also take advantage of summer travel opportunities through our Global and Outdoor Programs.
New in summer 2018 are Summer Study at Riverdale, an academic program for middle schoolers that emphasizes learning how to learn, and Girls Who Code Campus, which offers two-week beginner and advanced technology courses for girls in middle and high school.
