Two members of the girls tennis team, a member of the boys soccer team, and a cross-country runner are Athlete of the Week for the weeks of Oct. 22 and 29.
Kassia Taylor '21 won all three of her tennis matches in the Ivy League semi-final against Fieldston, Masters, and Poly Prep. Losing the first set, 3-6, and down 4-5 in the second, Kassia came storming back to win 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 to get the team to the championship.
At Homecoming, Ethan Plous '19 scored the winning goal with 10 seconds left in the game. He beat Dalton's defenders to a rebound off a penalty kick and blasted a shot past their goalkeeper, treating our fans to an amazing finish.
In the Ivy League tennis championship, Carolyn Brodsky '21 was our only winner. Moreover, she played an opponent who had not lost a league match for more than four years. Carolyn played magnificently and won, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Tobias Wolfson '20 won the Ivy League championship for the second year in a row with a time of 12:53.4. He also won the NYSAIS championship for the second year in a row, breaking the Riverdale 5K record with a time of 16:11.20.
