An organization dedicated to rethinking high school education has chosen Head of School Dominic A.A. Randolph as a "super school superhero."
In its newsletter this month, XQ: The Super School Project featured Randolph as an inspirational school leader. The recognition, based on a nomination submitted to the organization, says in part: "He encourages us to think well, be good citizens of the world, and work within a community. Changing the world for the better is not just a tagline for Dominic — he believes everyone has this ability. Ask really good questions. Construct compelling arguments. Have creative confidence. He pushes all of us to make these concepts part of our daily routines." Click here for the full text.
Launched in September 2015, XQ has been running a nationwide competition to redesign high school education. Laurene Powell Jobs has committed $50 million to underwrite at least five new public high schools that will serve as models for improving the outcomes of students.
