Planned Giving

Since our founding in 1907, Riverdale has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and innovation. By establishing a planned or estate gift that benefits our school, you can help to secure our esteemed future and ensure that generations of students will continue to experience the vast possibilities that a Riverdale education provides.

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund provides flexible and immediate funding that allows the school to prioritize programming, services, and facilities that keep Riverdale at the forefront of independent-school education. Among other things, Annual Fund gifts support curriculum development and resources, faculty workshops and education opportunities, and significant financial aid offerings.

I am eternally grateful to Riverdale for providing me with the skills, intellectual curiosity, and financial support that allowed me to break the cycle of poverty for my family. It is my pleasure now to pay it forward to future generations of students, allowing them to benefit from a Riverdale education as I did.

R+ Campaign

The R+ Campaign is an historic $100 million fundraising effort that launched publicly in July 2014 and concludes in June 2020. This campaign is comprehensive in that it counts all gifts to the school throughout that period, regardless of designation. Its four key priorities are unrestricted Annual Fund, campus and facilities improvements, programmatic innovation and faculty development, and a more robust endowed financial aid budget.

Volunteering is a meaningful way for our alumni to support today’s students, to remain connected, and to give back to their alma mater. Collectively, our volunteers connect with hundreds of their peers each year, greatly extending Riverdale’s reach. Not only do volunteers help the school in important ways, but volunteering can be an extremely rewarding experience, providing meaningful opportunities for alumni to connect (or reconnect!) with classmates while furthering a common goal of supporting the Riverdale community.
