Partnering with MetaBronx, an innovation and entrepreneurship accelerator in the South Bronx, Riverdale students and alumni have developed startups focusing on a wide range of applications. For example, Elias Gabriel ’17 has co-founded The Glass Files, an online database for families to archive their cultural heritages. Ellie ’19 and Linnea ’19, have designed a micro-mentoring app to connect high school students with professionals. In 2018, Riverdale’s support helped MetaBronx provide entrepreneurship training to students from the Bronx Academy for Software Engineering (BASE) in the South Bronx. Watch video.
