From sixth through 12th grade, Riverdale students learn to thrive in the face of adversity in the outdoor leadership program. Students tackle physical challenges; build character strengths such as grit, optimism, and self-control; and learn how to be members of communities. Outdoor programming is integrated into the curriculum in history, biology, chemistry, visual arts, and the language departments. Director Marshall Nicoloff tailors activities to challenge every ability, and students discover that they are stronger and more capable than they think. Watch video.
