COVID-19

In 2022, a goal for Riverdale is to provide a student experience that is both physically safe and pedagogically sound. To do so, we will continue to prioritize the following considerations:

1

HEALTH
Protecting the physical and mental health of our extended community through health protocols and carefully planned activities

2

FLEXIBILITY
Maximizing teaching flexibility so that we can respond quickly and smoothly to rapid changes in our health environment

3

LEARNING
Providing an equitable and consistent learning experience that sets the gold standard for education in these times

2021-2022 School Year

During this second half of the 2021-22 school year, we are experiencing a closer-to-normal school experience.

To ensure this, all employees and all eligible students (with allowances for certain medical exemptions) are fully vaccinated and “boosted.” Our school policy is in alignment with guidance from federal, state, and local health agencies.

Our health protocols continue to be guided by these agencies and we will make adjustments as needed. Current CDC guidelines recommend that all students (age 2 and older), staff, teachers, and visitors to K-12 schools wear masks medical-grade masks, such as KN95. We are wearing masks indoors as well as outdoors regardless of vaccination status. We continue to conduct testing and plan to adjust our testing protocols as necessary throughout the school year.
