Athletes of the Week Are Announced

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week:

  • Jan. 9 through Jan. 15: David Goldman '17 (basketball). In a win over Hackley, David finished the game with an impressive 24 points.
  • Jan. 2 through Jan. 8: Catie Goodell '17 (basketball) and Ernie Robertson '18 (indoor track). Catie had a 27-point game against Packer Collegiate. Ernie finished second overall in the high jump, setting a new personal best and school record of 6'4" at the Hispanic Games.
  • Dec. 12 through Dec. 18: David Goldman '17 (basketball) and the girls's 4x400 swimming relay. David was named to the All Tournament Team at the Northshore, Florida Tournament. Maeve Reilly '18, Shae Simpson '19, Maddy Noah '19, and Saskia Heinemann '17 were victorious in their freestyle relay.
  • Dec. 5 through Dec. 11: Rachel McIntyre '17 (basketball) and Ernie Robertson '18 (indoor track). Rachel scored 14 points in a win against Nightingale Bamford and 13 points in a win against Convent of the Sacred Heart. Ernie won the Varsity High Jump Championship with a new Riverdale record of 6'2".
  • Oct. 31 through Nov. 6: The members of Riverdale's Field Hockey team. The team won the NYSAIS semi-final.
  • Oct. 24 through Oct. 30: Cece Clairmont '20 (tennis) and Jackson Harris '18 (cross country). Cece won her singles matches, locking in a 3-2 win over Fieldston. Jackson finished second at the Ivy League Championships, setting a new 13:37.20 record.
  • Oct. 17 through Oct. 23: Jackson Harris '18 (cross country) and Malaika Sipp '17 (field hockey). Jackson placed seventh at the Collegiate Invitational and Malaika scored the game winning goal against Horace Mann at Homecoming.
