Inspired by the book, “Peg + Cat: The Race Car Problem” by Jennifer Oxley and Billy Aronson, Grade 1 students worked in the Build Space to design cars that they could build out of recycled materials.
They learned about the parts of the car, how they fit together, and what happens when the car goes down a hill. Math skills, design thinking, and character strengths were all part of the learning experience. Watch video.
