Riverdale’s internship program, open to all sophomores and juniors, is designed to prepare students for the world of work. Through skill-building seminars, group and individual guidance, and access to an extensive list of internships, the program encourages students to thoughtfully assess their academic achievements and extracurricular interests in the context of career possibilities.
Two on-campus seminars focus on resume and cover letter writing, and interview skills and professionalism. Students use these assets to create and submit their internship applications, and to prepare for what is for many their first work experience.
In order to access the list of internships students must be enrolled in the program and attend both seminars. Internships are provided by Riverdale parents, alumni, and organizations known to the school, and offer challenging, real-world opportunities in a diverse range of fields including finance, law, medicine, technology, fashion, film, television, and the arts.
