Global Studies
In 2019, Riverdale offered two foreign trips to Middle Schoolers. Eighth graders were eligible for a trip to the Irish National Heritage Park located in “Ireland’s Ancient East” to do fieldwork at an active archaeological site and to learn about local communities through homestays with farm families and school visits. Sixth through ninth graders took part in a trip to Honolulu and Christchurch, New Zealand, that focused on community building, sustainability, and character education. Students stayed with families associated with the Sumner School in Christchurch and the Punahou School in Honolulu. Financial is available for trips.
